Why are Lead-Acid batteries still in use when lead is toxic
Why are Lead-Acid batteries still in use when lead is toxic, and their energy density is far lower than that of lithium and nickel batteries? Because they''re still cheaper to produce and safer than lithium. If you short a lead acid, the worst thing, the water will just boil. They''re also much more robust, that''s why they''re still used in cars.
